Shutters flank tall windows to adorn the front of this charming home. A high roofline gives presence to the façade and allows vaulted ceilings in all the right places inside. The offset entry features an arched transom and columned porch. The entry hall overlooks the great room where a fireplace warms gatherings on chilly evenings and built-in shelves, to the right of the fireplace, add space that might be used as an entertainment center. A large three-panel window wall allows for a rear yard view. The dining area, connected directly to the great room, features double doors to a covered porch. The open kitchen contains ample counter space with an island cook top and large pantry. The utility room leads to the expansive garage, which has space for a shop or third vehicle. Bedrooms are split with the master suite in the back and additional bedrooms at the front. The master bedroom boasts a nine-foot ceiling and is graced by a luxurious bath and a walk-in closet. A quiet den, near the master suite sports windows overlooking the front yard.

This home is a gorgeous example of one of our craftsman houseplans. In the mid-1970s, a revivalism of sorts began among American collectors and preservationists. Pottery, glassworks, furniture, lighting, and houses from the turn of the 20th century were rediscovered and being celebrated for their simplicity of design and traditional beauty. These artistic remnants of the Arts and Crafts movement, which thrived from 1876-1915 continue to be celebrated today.
Our Ranch style house plan collection comprises single level homes with long street facades. They typically have a rectangular or L-shaped footprint, and low-pitched roof - either hip or gable. There is usually minimal exterior decoration, and they feature simple, open floor plans.
In general, the ranch house is noted for its long, close-to-the-ground profile, and minimal use of exterior and interior decoration. The houses fuse modernist ideas and styles with notions of the American Western period working ranches to create a very informal and casual living style. Their popularity waned in the late 20th century as neo-eclectic house styles, a return to using historical and traditional decoration, became popular. However, in recent years, interest in ranch house designs has been increasing.
Our traditional style houseplans comprise a neo-eclectic style borrowing details from historic styles and adapting to contemporary forms and materials - i.e.: Colonial porches and columns, Tudor half-timber, French steeply pitched hip roof and arched windows, Georgian entry doors or Victorian porch spindle work. Wood exteriors combined with brick or stone trim.
Traditional homes freely borrow from a number of historic styles and combine them to relay a new expression. Many historic styles are also 'traditional' in nature, and are incorporated into the Mascord Collection. Colonial, Tudor, Craftsman, Cape Cod - in this collection of home plans you'll discover floor plans that reflect modern lifestyles with spacious rooms, flexible spaces and modern conveniences, but mixed with distinct architectural flair, curb appeal and modern aesthetic. Expect elements such as free-flowing kitchens, breakfast nooks, and family room combinations.
