This home won several awards including the People's Choice Best of Show and the Realtor's Choice - Best Curb Appeal at the 2004 Portland Street of Dreams. An artful use of stone was employed on the exterior of this rustic hillside home to complement other architectural elements such as the angled, oversize four-car garage and the substantial roofline. The floor plan features a massive vaulted great room as its hub, anchored with a large stone fireplace at one end and a formal dining area at the other. A built-in media center and double doors separate the great room from a home office, which has its own hearth and built-ins. The kitchen (with walk-in pantry and snack-bar counter) opens to a skylit outdoor kitchen. Its appointments include a cooktop and a corner fireplace. Don't miss the dog shower and grooming station just off the garage. The master suite is found at the other side of the home. Look closely for expansive his and hers walk-in closets, a spa tub, a skylit double vanity area and a corner fireplace in the salon. Three family bedrooms are on the lower level, along with an impressive home theater, a wine cellar and a wet bar. The home theater has a built-in viewing screen, a fireplace and double terrace access. Bedroom 4 has a private bath and walk-in closet.

This home is a gorgeous example of one of our craftsman houseplans. In the mid-1970s, a revivalism of sorts began among American collectors and preservationists. Pottery, glassworks, furniture, lighting, and houses from the turn of the 20th century were rediscovered and being celebrated for their simplicity of design and traditional beauty. These artistic remnants of the Arts and Crafts movement, which thrived from 1876-1915 continue to be celebrated today.
Our Lodge house plans are inspired by the rustic homes from the Old West. Whether you’re looking for a modest cabin or an elaborate timber-frame lodge, these homes will make you feel you’re away from it all (even if you live in the suburbs). The homes rely on natural materials for their beauty. Among the materials used are heavy timbers, wood siding, stone, gable end braces, and cedar shakes. While different in theme, each design promotes a rustic feel that will effortlessly blend with verdant landscapes and mountain vernacular. The floor plans promote outdoor views, making them ideal for sites with mountain vistas, cityscape scenes, and lakeside access.
