A well-designed Craftsman home is a joy to behold, and the Beaverton is no exception. Lodge style elements – including exposed beams and an arbor – give this home’s exterior a welcoming sense of warmth and comfort. The Beaverton’s exterior has so much character that once you move in, you’ll find impossible to resist the urge to decorate your new home with hanging planters and attractive landscape features.
This home is the perfect addition to a country estate. From the Beaverton’s two-story patio and deck, you’ll have an excellent view of the gently rolling countryside. On this home’s deck, you’ll find a spacious outdoor kitchen that includes a grill. Here, you’ll spend the autumn grilling out and enjoying the fruits of the harvest. During the heat of the summer, you can spend your afternoons relaxing on the shady patio beneath as you take in the sights, scents and sounds of your rustic surroundings.
Inside, you’ll find a blend of formality and function that lends itself well to your diverse lifestyle. The great room, dining area and kitchen are separated just enough to make dinner parties seem more intimate, but at the same time, these areas are left open so that you connect with the kids in the great room as you’re making dinner in the kitchen.
Speaking of the kitchen, whether you enjoy gourmet meals or foods straight from your garden, you’ll find that this kitchen opens up a world of culinary possibilities. It starts with the enormous island that gives you plenty of space to prepare a main dish and all the sides before you start cooking. A large cooktop and dual ovens means that when you’re putting a massive holiday feast together, you’ll never have to wait for space in the oven or on the stovetop.
The Beaverton’s lower floor is ideal for entertaining. Invite your friends over for a holiday fete. Within the game room, they’ll be treated to view of a landscape blanketed in freshly fallen snow even as they enjoy the warmth from the crackling fireplace. A full bar and wine cellar lets you serve a selection of fine beverages with style.
Should your guests fall so in love with your home that they’d like to stay for a week or two, the Beaverton’s four bedrooms will easily accommodate them. In particular, the second bedroom – which includes a walk-in closet and private bathroom – will treat your guests to every luxury your home has to offer.
We are the original designers of every home displayed and available on this website. Though you may sometimes find our home plans advertised and for sale elsewhere, it makes sense to purchase your plan directly. Place your order confidently knowing your home plans come from the original source, and that you have the support of the designer of your home.
Firstly, as the original designer and copyright owner - we can beat any lower price you find a Mascord plan for sale - on any website authorized to sell our plans. Before you make your purchase, simply give us a call, direct us to the site you have seen the lower advertised price, and we'll not only match that price - we'll also give you a further 5% discount and extra special customer care :-). (The advertised plan must be the same as the plan being purchased, including product type - 5 Set, 8 Set, Hybrid, Reproducible, or CAD File, etc). Our standard price-beating guarantee refers to regularly listed prices, but if you find any coupon, special offer, bonus offer, freebies or rebate offered on a competing website, call us, tell us where it is, and we'll see if we can beat that too!
Secondly, as owners and original designers of all the plans in our collection, we have ultimate version control of all the construction drawings, and regularly update our drawings to meet forever changing building codes. Buying directly means that plan support comes directly from the creators of the design. We also have exclusive access to our entire catalog of CAD drawings, with the ability to modify them quickly and cost effectively, or even provide a previously modified version of a stock plan that is not available with any other authorized seller. Call our customer care staff to discuss any modifications you would like to have done, and if the modification exists already - it can save you lots of time and cost. You're not going to find that anywhere else!
Furthermore, we know our plan collection inside out! If you have questions about an element in the design, or even a question during construction - we are the ones able to answer those questions for you, quickly and accurately.
We support all of the plans we sell, and purchasing direct, you're able to take advantage of the high level of customer service we provide. If you have any questions, or to simply place an order for your home plans, call 800 411 0231.
All house plans licensed by Alan Mascord Design Associates Inc are designed and detailed to conform to The International Residential Code (for orders out of state), or Oregon and Washington local state codes (for orders in those states). We typically calculate and provide sizing of beams for a snowload of 25 psf. You may need beams sized to accommodate larger roof loads specific to your region. We are able to help with this; please speak with our sales staff to discuss your options.
To find out exactly what details you should expect with your Mascord house plans, see "What's included in a Plan Set?"
Some regions have additional engineering requirements, such as earthquake-prone areas of California and the Pacific Northwest, or the Gulf, Florida, & Carolina coasts that are frequented by hurricanes. Additional Wind and Seismic engineering drawings are required to accompany your home plans to obtain a building permit in most areas. These additional drawings need to be provided and stamped by a professional licensed in your state. In most cases we have working relationships established with engineers who can help you obtain the necessary drawings cost effectively, or you are welcome to source your own local engineer.
Your area may have specific energy codes that have to be followed. Compliance could include filling out forms providing evidence that your construction drawings meet requirements. In many cases the forms are simple and can be filled out by yourself, or with the aid of your General Contractor.
Building jurisdictions in several states - including California, New York, New Jersey, Nevada and Illinois - require that your home design is reviewed and entire construction drawings stamped by a local professional. If you are building in such an area, it is most likely you will need to hire a state licensed structural engineer to analyze the design and provide additional drawings and calculations required by your local building department.
In addition to the construction drawings, you may also need a site plan that shows where the house is going to be located on your chosen property, along with any grading and water management / septic system requirements.
If you aren’t sure what may be required, contact your building department and ask for a list of all of the items they require to submit for and obtain a building permit.
