Everything about this Prairie home speaks of a relaxed, sophisticated lifestyle in which you can get work done quickly so that you can spend more time at play. With a sloping lot design, the Boyega begs to be built over a scenic overlook so that you can look out over treetops from any of the three floors.
Inside, the first amenity you’ll find is the home office. This room gives you a comfortable space to tend to business, bills and more. If business is thriving, or if you need additional offices, guest bedrooms on the main floor and the lower floor can be easily repurposed to suit your needs.
When you leave the home office for the day, endless possibilities await. Head down the hall to relax in front of the fireplace in the great room or go out through the great room’s doors and enjoy the lofty view from the raised deck. These spaces, combined with the formal dining room to the front of the kitchen, give you endless opportunities to host friends and family. At Christmastime, serve your holiday meal in the dining room and then invite everyone to gather around the great room’s fireplace to catch up with each other and exchange gifts. In the summer, you can invite everyone out onto the deck to enjoy a barbecued feast.
The daylight basement gives you even more opportunities to entertain. Here, you’ll find a shady patio that is the perfect spot to gather on sultry afternoons. Inside, there is a large recreational area with a full wet bar and fireplace. Set up for an evening of cards, board games and conversations or turn this area into a home theater beyond compare. Beyond the recreational area, there is a guest bedroom and full bathroom that allows you to treat guests to the comforts of your home.
The Boyega’s upper floor is all about you and your family. To one side of this floor, there are two bedrooms and a large laundry room. The other side of the upper floor is devoted almost entirely to a master suite that is packed with amenities. The bedroom features a walk-in closet and an enormous picture window that will flood the room with sunlight. In the master bath, there is a spa tub, tiled shower and his-and-hers sinks. With all of these luxuries, the master suite ensures that you are always rested, relaxed and refreshed.
We are the original designers of every home displayed and available on this website. Though you may sometimes find our home plans advertised and for sale elsewhere, it makes sense to purchase your plan directly. Place your order confidently knowing your home plans come from the original source, and that you have the support of the designer of your home.
Firstly, as the original designer and copyright owner - we can beat any lower price you find a Mascord plan for sale - on any website authorized to sell our plans. Before you make your purchase, simply give us a call, direct us to the site you have seen the lower advertised price, and we'll not only match that price - we'll also give you a further 5% discount and extra special customer care :-). (The advertised plan must be the same as the plan being purchased, including product type - 5 Set, 8 Set, Hybrid, Reproducible, or CAD File, etc). Our standard price-beating guarantee refers to regularly listed prices, but if you find any coupon, special offer, bonus offer, freebies or rebate offered on a competing website, call us, tell us where it is, and we'll see if we can beat that too!
Secondly, as owners and original designers of all the plans in our collection, we have ultimate version control of all the construction drawings, and regularly update our drawings to meet forever changing building codes. Buying directly means that plan support comes directly from the creators of the design. We also have exclusive access to our entire catalog of CAD drawings, with the ability to modify them quickly and cost effectively, or even provide a previously modified version of a stock plan that is not available with any other authorized seller. Call our customer care staff to discuss any modifications you would like to have done, and if the modification exists already - it can save you lots of time and cost. You're not going to find that anywhere else!
Furthermore, we know our plan collection inside out! If you have questions about an element in the design, or even a question during construction - we are the ones able to answer those questions for you, quickly and accurately.
We support all of the plans we sell, and purchasing direct, you're able to take advantage of the high level of customer service we provide. If you have any questions, or to simply place an order for your home plans, call 800 411 0231.
All house plans licensed by Alan Mascord Design Associates Inc are designed and detailed to conform to The International Residential Code (for orders out of state), or Oregon and Washington local state codes (for orders in those states). We typically calculate and provide sizing of beams for a snowload of 25 psf. You may need beams sized to accommodate larger roof loads specific to your region. We are able to help with this; please speak with our sales staff to discuss your options.
To find out exactly what details you should expect with your Mascord house plans, see "What's included in a Plan Set?"
Some regions have additional engineering requirements, such as earthquake-prone areas of California and the Pacific Northwest, or the Gulf, Florida, & Carolina coasts that are frequented by hurricanes. Additional Wind and Seismic engineering drawings are required to accompany your home plans to obtain a building permit in most areas. These additional drawings need to be provided and stamped by a professional licensed in your state. In most cases we have working relationships established with engineers who can help you obtain the necessary drawings cost effectively, or you are welcome to source your own local engineer.
Your area may have specific energy codes that have to be followed. Compliance could include filling out forms providing evidence that your construction drawings meet requirements. In many cases the forms are simple and can be filled out by yourself, or with the aid of your General Contractor.
Building jurisdictions in several states - including California, New York, New Jersey, Nevada and Illinois - require that your home design is reviewed and entire construction drawings stamped by a local professional. If you are building in such an area, it is most likely you will need to hire a state licensed structural engineer to analyze the design and provide additional drawings and calculations required by your local building department.
In addition to the construction drawings, you may also need a site plan that shows where the house is going to be located on your chosen property, along with any grading and water management / septic system requirements.
If you aren’t sure what may be required, contact your building department and ask for a list of all of the items they require to submit for and obtain a building permit.
