Why take a vacation to a lakeside resort when you can live that reality each and every day? Your morning in the Williamson starts in the beautifully appointed master suite. Wake up to fresh morning sunshine, then enjoy a crisp, cool shower in the master bath. Once you are ready to greet the day, the Williamson’s sunny patio awaits you outside the master bedroom’s double doors. The sight and sound of water will soothe you as you sip coffee and enjoy a leisurely breakfast.
How will you spend the afternoon? This home gives you so many options. During the week, you’ll find yourself in the office, a quiet, simple space tucked behind the kitchen where you can work in peace. On days when chores need to be done, you’ll put the utility room and mudroom to good use, cleaning and organizing. You’ll be able to keep the weekly laundry out of sight here, and when laundry day rolls around, there is plenty of space to sort and fold clothing in between each load.
Perhaps it is the weekend and you’d rather spend your day relaxing and enjoying your surroundings. While away the afternoon in the vaulted great room, enjoying the sparkling waves through floor-to-ceiling windows. Or, perhaps a better idea is to spend the day out on the lake. The Williamson features an extended garage with a rear vehicle entry, designed as an ideal place to store a boat and trailer — a necessity if you plan to live by the ocean or on the banks of a lake.
In the evenings, you won’t be able to resist inviting friends over to enjoy the luxuries your home has to offer. There are a variety of ways to entertain here. Put the kitchen to work designing an artistic charcuterie board, then gather everyone in the dining room for wine and refreshments. When the weather is nice, you’ll definitely want to host your gatherings in the outdoor living area. Light a fire in the fireplace to take the chill out of the air.
The upper floor gives you two great options. The first is a games room, where you, your friends or your family will spend hours playing cards, board games — anything you enjoy doing. If, however, you are in the mood for a quieter evening alone, then this floor also gives you a hobby room, where you can while away the hours working on your favorite projects.
The Williamson isn’t all about your own enjoyment, however. With a guest suite and two extra bedrooms, family and friends can enjoy extended stays in your beautiful home.
We are the original designers of every home displayed and available on this website. Though you may sometimes find our home plans advertised and for sale elsewhere, it makes sense to purchase your plan directly. Place your order confidently knowing your home plans come from the original source, and that you have the support of the designer of your home.
Firstly, as the original designer and copyright owner - we can beat any lower price you find a Mascord plan for sale - on any website authorized to sell our plans. Before you make your purchase, simply give us a call, direct us to the site you have seen the lower advertised price, and we'll not only match that price - we'll also give you a further 5% discount and extra special customer care :-). (The advertised plan must be the same as the plan being purchased, including product type - 5 Set, 8 Set, Hybrid, Reproducible, or CAD File, etc). Our standard price-beating guarantee refers to regularly listed prices, but if you find any coupon, special offer, bonus offer, freebies or rebate offered on a competing website, call us, tell us where it is, and we'll see if we can beat that too!
Secondly, as owners and original designers of all the plans in our collection, we have ultimate version control of all the construction drawings, and regularly update our drawings to meet forever changing building codes. Buying directly means that plan support comes directly from the creators of the design. We also have exclusive access to our entire catalog of CAD drawings, with the ability to modify them quickly and cost effectively, or even provide a previously modified version of a stock plan that is not available with any other authorized seller. Call our customer care staff to discuss any modifications you would like to have done, and if the modification exists already - it can save you lots of time and cost. You're not going to find that anywhere else!
Furthermore, we know our plan collection inside out! If you have questions about an element in the design, or even a question during construction - we are the ones able to answer those questions for you, quickly and accurately.
We support all of the plans we sell, and purchasing direct, you're able to take advantage of the high level of customer service we provide. If you have any questions, or to simply place an order for your home plans, call 800 411 0231.
All house plans licensed by Alan Mascord Design Associates Inc are designed and detailed to conform to The International Residential Code (for orders out of state), or Oregon and Washington local state codes (for orders in those states). We typically calculate and provide sizing of beams for a snowload of 25 psf. You may need beams sized to accommodate larger roof loads specific to your region. We are able to help with this; please speak with our sales staff to discuss your options.
To find out exactly what details you should expect with your Mascord house plans, see "What's included in a Plan Set?"
Some regions have additional engineering requirements, such as earthquake-prone areas of California and the Pacific Northwest, or the Gulf, Florida, & Carolina coasts that are frequented by hurricanes. Additional Wind and Seismic engineering drawings are required to accompany your home plans to obtain a building permit in most areas. These additional drawings need to be provided and stamped by a professional licensed in your state. In most cases we have working relationships established with engineers who can help you obtain the necessary drawings cost effectively, or you are welcome to source your own local engineer.
Your area may have specific energy codes that have to be followed. Compliance could include filling out forms providing evidence that your construction drawings meet requirements. In many cases the forms are simple and can be filled out by yourself, or with the aid of your General Contractor.
Building jurisdictions in several states - including California, New York, New Jersey, Nevada and Illinois - require that your home design is reviewed and entire construction drawings stamped by a local professional. If you are building in such an area, it is most likely you will need to hire a state licensed structural engineer to analyze the design and provide additional drawings and calculations required by your local building department.
In addition to the construction drawings, you may also need a site plan that shows where the house is going to be located on your chosen property, along with any grading and water management / septic system requirements.
If you aren’t sure what may be required, contact your building department and ask for a list of all of the items they require to submit for and obtain a building permit.
