A Walk Through The Renicker

Designed for sloped locations, The Renicker takes full advantage of the unique design opportunities offered by slope-side building. These sloped lot house plans feature a large story at the ground level as well as smaller basement and upper stories. In particular, these home plans are perfect for lots that slope upward away from the street.

As you approach The Renicker, you’ll walk up a short set of stairs, with built-in planters at varying heights for curb appeal. To the right is a three-car garage. Upon entering the home, you’ll appreciate the spaciousness of the two-story ceilings in the foyer and great room, to the right. To the left, you’ll see a set of stairs as well as a laundry room and half-bath. An elevator is also included here, which is wonderful for universal and age-in-place standards. The master bedroom and bath are beyond the stairs. Twin sinks, a generous walk-in closet, a tiled shower and a spa make the master bath truly luxurious.

Rounding out the ground floor level are a kitchen, den and dining room. Only the den is totally walled off – the rest of the main floor is open, making these home plans perfect for those who love to host parties. This approach also makes the whole home seem larger, since the human eye judges space according to line of sight. The view from the great room is stunning – you’ll see a gourmet kitchen with a large island as well as a naturally lit dining room.

Head to the upper story of these sloped lot house plans, and you’ll find two “Jack and Jill” bedrooms with a full bathroom in-between. This level is open to the great room and foyer below.

The basement level of The Renicker is composed of garage/shop space and a mechanical room. With more than 731 square feet of garage space, these sloped lot house plans can certainly accommodate your motorized toys and vehicles.

Overall, The Renicker echoes the Craftsman style, offering clean, geometric lines; overhanging eaves; double-hung windows; and Arts & Crafts construction details. There’s a reason the Craftsman movement continues to enjoy popularity (and high resale values). This is a clean, universally appealing, understated style that works in every neighborhood. If you need sloped lot house plans that will retain home value for decades while offering comfortable family living, The Renicker is a great choice.

Why buy from us?

We are the original designers of every home displayed and available on this website. Though you may sometimes find our home plans advertised and for sale elsewhere, it makes sense to purchase your plan directly. Place your order confidently knowing your home plans come from the original source, and that you have the support of the designer of your home.

Firstly, as the original designer and copyright owner - we can beat any lower price you find a Mascord plan for sale - on any website authorized to sell our plans. Before you make your purchase, simply give us a call, direct us to the site you have seen the lower advertised price, and we'll not only match that price - we'll also give you a further 5% discount and extra special customer care :-). (The advertised plan must be the same as the plan being purchased, including product type - 5 Set, 8 Set, Hybrid, Reproducible, or CAD File, etc). Our standard price-beating guarantee refers to regularly listed prices, but if you find any coupon, special offer, bonus offer, freebies or rebate offered on a competing website, call us, tell us where it is, and we'll see if we can beat that too!

Secondly, as owners and original designers of all the plans in our collection, we have ultimate version control of all the construction drawings, and regularly update our drawings to meet forever changing building codes. Buying directly means that plan support comes directly from the creators of the design. We also have exclusive access to our entire catalog of CAD drawings, with the ability to modify them quickly and cost effectively, or even provide a previously modified version of a stock plan that is not available with any other authorized seller. Call our customer care staff to discuss any modifications you would like to have done, and if the modification exists already - it can save you lots of time and cost. You're not going to find that anywhere else!

Furthermore, we know our plan collection inside out! If you have questions about an element in the design, or even a question during construction - we are the ones able to answer those questions for you, quickly and accurately.

We support all of the plans we sell, and purchasing direct, you're able to take advantage of the high level of customer service we provide. If you have any questions, or to simply place an order for your home plans, call 800 411 0231.

Will This Design Work For Your Location?

All house plans licensed by Alan Mascord Design Associates Inc are designed and detailed to conform to The International Residential Code (for orders out of state), or Oregon and Washington local state codes (for orders in those states). We typically calculate and provide sizing of beams for a snowload of 25 psf. You may need beams sized to accommodate larger roof loads specific to your region. We are able to help with this; please speak with our sales staff to discuss your options.

To find out exactly what details you should expect with your Mascord house plans, see "What's included in a Plan Set?"

Some regions have additional engineering requirements, such as earthquake-prone areas of California and the Pacific Northwest, or the Gulf, Florida, & Carolina coasts that are frequented by hurricanes. Additional Wind and Seismic engineering drawings are required to accompany your home plans to obtain a building permit in most areas. These additional drawings need to be provided and stamped by a professional licensed in your state. In most cases we have working relationships established with engineers who can help you obtain the necessary drawings cost effectively, or you are welcome to source your own local engineer.

Your area may have specific energy codes that have to be followed. Compliance could include filling out forms providing evidence that your construction drawings meet requirements. In many cases the forms are simple and can be filled out by yourself, or with the aid of your General Contractor.

Building jurisdictions in several states - including California, New York, New Jersey, Nevada and Illinois - require that your home design is reviewed and entire construction drawings stamped by a local professional. If you are building in such an area, it is most likely you will need to hire a state licensed structural engineer to analyze the design and provide additional drawings and calculations required by your local building department.

In addition to the construction drawings, you may also need a site plan that shows where the house is going to be located on your chosen property, along with any grading and water management / septic system requirements.

If you aren’t sure what may be required, contact your building department and ask for a list of all of the items they require to submit for and obtain a building permit.

Although we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of our design information, we reserve the right to make corrections on our floor plans or elevations as needed.
