Yet despite its svelte profile, the Willowcreek feels spacious inside, thanks to plenty of natural light and an open floor plan. Craftsman home plan details are sprinkled throughout Willowcreek, including multi-paned windows and plenty of built-in storage. Join us on a tour of these stunning home plans.
As we approach the Willowcreek, we spot plenty of Craftsman exterior details: Natural stone and shingle siding accents, gabled roofs, a covered front entry supported by columns, a partially paned front door, and exposed rafter tails and eaves. There’s a two-bay garage on the right. Three gables create pleasing visual variety for the Willowcreek’s exterior.
Entering, we can see all the way down the center of the home, through the kitchen, dining, and great room area, straight to sliding doors leading to a back patio. This long line of sight creates a sense of spaciousness. A light-filled office with nine-foot ceiling is directly to the left of the entry. Also on the left, we pass a coat closet, and a staircase. The L-shaped kitchen comes up next; as we step into the home’s shared “family triangle” space, you notice a door leading from the kitchen to the garage—the more informal, everyday entrance.
An island delineates the open kitchen and dining areas. A double-door pantry is found just off the dining area. At the back of the shared area is the vaulted great room, with its fireplace and built-in media center. A patio juts off the back of the great room, for graceful indoor/outdoor living. This communal heart of the Willowcreek is beautiful and functional. Family members and guests can easily socialize while food is being prepared.
Also on this downstairs level, we find a hallway off the kitchen, leading to a convenient half bath, a utility room for washer/dryer hookup, and the master suite in the rear. This arrangement allows for comfortable single-level, age-in-place living. The master suite wraps around the rear right corner of the home. Two yawning multi-paned windows pour light into the bedroom. In the master bath, the toilet and shower are in their own space, for privacy. Twin sinks lead to a generous walk-in closet.
Walking back through the kitchen and up the stairs, we find plenty of extra space for family and guests. The second story has three bedrooms: two in the back and one vaulted bedroom in front. Each bedroom has a generous walk-in closet and lots of natural light. A shared bathroom is located between the back two bedrooms; it has a shower/tub. The lovely landing at the top of the stairs is an open loft, with a built-in computer desk overlooking a window onto the side yard. There’s also a window seat looking into the front yard. Finally, we linger for a while on the staircase itself—we can’t help but be drawn to the floor-to-ceiling windows over the stairs.
Overall, the Willowcreek Craftsman house plans create a comfortable family home that can accommodate your needs at all stages of life.
